If this is your first visit…
- We went for a walk in Vila Nova de Cerveira. I had noticed big green doors leading into a courtyard in the middle of town yesterday but it was locked up. This morning it was open so I wandered in. Normally I wouldn't just walk into someone's property. Yesterday I had noticed old walls behind the adjoining houses so maybe I could assume it was an historical site? It was like a little village in there, well a deserted village. Maybe it fills up with tourists in summer but at the moment it's empty. There was a church building, closed and a restaurant, closed and a pub, closed. All the houses looked empty. The best thing about it was the walkway on top. The worst thing - the steps leading up there. Although to be honest they were a feat of engineering. Huge stones were attached to the wall at irregular intervals. I was afraid, but in the interest of capturing some photographs for you I was very brave. I did not die in the attempt... #travel #Portugal #phonephotos #VilaNovadeCerveiraPlease go see this excellent exhibition at @nationalmuseumofireland #collinsbarracks Artist @alisonlowryglass has created something beautiful and thought provoking out of some terrible Irish truths. #magdalenelaundries #art #ireland #(A)dressingDay 60 #2019 Hello March! #phonephoto #nofilter #ireland #marchDay 59 #2019 Here’s where I was lost in thought this morning. There was a weird sound. Five snow white long necked swans were flying in unison over my head. Their wings were making the sound. Can you imagine? You’ll have to, there are no photos or videos. They were magnificent. No idea what I was thinking about before they arrived and I am grateful to them for that. #february #fortheloveofordinary #phonephoto #ireland #nofilter #gratitude #thinkingDay 57 #2019 Another free sunrise. #fortheloveofordinary #february #irelandWork in progress... #mindfulness #calm #creativecalm #making #craftingtime

(My ceramic apron) It’s been a really beautiful day here today in Greystones – sunshine, blue shies and little fluffy clouds. I’m still working on my wall painting, but I sense there’s a strong possibility it won’t in fact take … Continue reading
(Mixed media in progress…) I’ve been reading and listening to Jonah Lehrer’s book Imagine How Creativity Works. I listened to it last summer with the hens in the forest. They weren’t hugely impressed with Jonah but I really like him … Continue reading

(This way…) Last month we went to the Killruddery Farm Market again and it was lovely again. As it happens only once a month (for the moment) I decided to keep the pictures until just before this month’s one, so … Continue reading
