(Making Christmas Cakes – Thank you Mam!)

We have a friend called Raomal who has been in hospital for the month of December. While we were buying Christmas presents, he was there and when we were wrapping them he was there and when we were ordering the turkey and eating that turkey, he was still there. For Christmas week and the week after he was in an isolation ward… on his own. I have been reading his blog (Raomal.com) and getting inspiration. Last week he included the following from the wall of Mother Teresa’s Children’s home in Calcutta…..

Do it Anyway.

People are often unreasonable, 
illogical and self-centered;

Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind,
 people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives;

Be kind anyway.

If you are successful,
 you will win some false friends and true enemies;

people may cheat you;

Be honest anyway.

 someone could destroy overnight;

Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, 
they may be jealous;

Be happy anyway.

The good you do today,
 people will often forget tomorrow;

Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have,
 and it may never be enough;

Give the world the best you’ve got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, 
it is between you and your God; 
It was never between you and them anyway.
